I'm Suz, 56 years young from Australia. I am currently exploring early retirement and I hope to visit the UK and possibly Europe next year. Would like to correspond with anyone who can tell the must see places. I am particularly interested in Scotland and Durham.

If you are interest in Scotland for the scenery then you should also try and spend some time in the Lake District. It's gorgeous

I agree - the lake district is great and defo a place to spend some time on your way from Durham to Scotland. I am Scottish but have recently spent 7 years living London and now that I have come home just can't believe how much I missed the people, habits and scenery of my wonderful homeland. There is a refreshing honesty and bluntness about the Scots which is great after the political correctness of the South - we tell it how it is up here!!
