Why do these things always happen near Christmas, our washing machine been playing up lately, and today it just won't finished it full cycle, resulting in the drum been full of water, also flooded the floor at times, spent most of the afternoon mopping up

Dave been really helpful, told me to check the board, I managed to get the top off and also taken the back off to check for anything obvious, also took out the little circuit board, unfortunately can't see any faults, not sure what to do, either called out a washing machine repair person or do we buy a new one?

It luckily we have a dryer, at least I been able to dry the clothes there in the machine.

We use a guy who doesn't charge for call out and gives a free estimate. It might be worth trying to find someone like this and hearing what they suggest. I think unless you spend alot of money on a brand new machine, at least £500, its often more cost effective to simply repair the current one.

The new cheaper machines will barely last a year before breaking down.

Good luck with it anyway.

Washing machine is all working again now.

Michelle rang another guy, unfortunately he had retired about 8 years ago but he was kind enough to offer some advice. So Kenny drained the water that was in the machine and i took the panel off the front, i cleaned all the filter out as this was choked with lime scale crystals, Washed out filter and checked inlet/outlet drain holes and water pump. Put all back together and tested machine, now working fine. Michelle happy and Kenny caught up with the washing :)

Thanks for all your help last night Dave, you were marvelous, and as Dave say it was also down to this ex service repair man, who just said check your filter, I bet you any money that is the fault, god he save us so much money :)
