View Full Version : How do you get your news?
How do you guys get your news? Do you have a set time that you watch it on tv? Maybe you are a radio person? Or how about newspapers? Are are you like me and only know what's going on a few days later when you hear people chatting about it? :-p

I usually watch BBC News 24 on TV to catch up, also there's a few web sites I go to to see what's going on in the world - BBC (again), New York Times, al-jazeera, The Independent (British daily), NDTV.com (Inian news site), Spiegel Online and a few others I dont visit that often. Also read a newspaper when I can - get to read The Guardian for free at uni :-D
lol Antman, I cudn't wait a few days to hear wot's goin on, I'm a woman, we love gossip ;) Actually I get the daily paper, both national and local, and I listen to the radio - I rarely watch the news on the TV - I have to say tho, I duno why I bother, cos it's always so depressing!!
I usually check out local news via the radio or the local web site. For other news i watch news 24 or the evening news. Rarely buy a paper these days

We too rarely buy the paper, we like to watch the news on the telly. :)
I read the Metro newspaper on the train every morning, usually watch at least the headlines of the news at 7 on Eén, and regularly visit my newspaper's site (not really for the news, but I'll look at it too).
Oh, and we get the newspaper delivered at home every day - I usually look through it in the evening, but don't really read it anymore, except maybe things that really interest me.
I used to watch the news on TV, but I hardly ever watch television these days, I normally get my news off the internet these days, or I occasionally buy the odd newspaper now and again, depending on the headlines of the front page

I usually hear what's going on from my boyfirend. Or from the news on the radio when I'm at work.
I usually get the news on the radio and the newspapers. But I prefer the radio though. Even the Lappish news :)
Seldom I use the internet for news...
I usually find out days and days after something has happened.
I don't watch any news programmes and I don't buy newspapers.
My parents or my OH will tell me stuff that they have seen, heard or read.
lol @ Ant..
I usually get the news daily by word of mouth, the radio, and sometimes have the news on in the background on tv when im online. Also read the weekly local newspaper. If theres something going on that im interested in i use the bbc news website or google to keep up to date. :)

I get mine from the net when I turn on my homepage, occasionally I'll watch the local news on tv but not often
Usually through my mum. She reads the news online and then tells me the bits she thinks I may be interested in.
Usually internet. News/entertainment (see what I did there) on TV infuriates me with their hype, sensationalism and scaremongering. Newspapers seem clumsy to me and piss me off, lol. I like to view the news I deem worthy of attention, which may not always be the best way but at least I don't end up annoyed by a worthless article.
