What was the last book you've read..and what did you think of it?

I read Vanishing Acts by Jodi Picoult. I finished it thismorning..I didn't really like it, but it had really good reviews so I thought I'd give it a go.

The last book I read (not counting what I'm reading now) was A Place Called Freedom by Ken Follett. I loved it and it's why I'm reading another Ken Follett book now

Culloden by John Prebble ...... probably the most objective book on the battle and its aftermath.

Since I last posted in here I finished "A Dangerous Fortune" by Ken Follett, which I absolutely loved!!!!!! And this afternoon I finsihed "Elli: Coming of age in the holocaust" by Livia E Bitton Jackson. I really enjoyed it, I thought it would be a hard book to read because of the subject matter but it wasn't too bad. I highly recommend both books

Kant - Groundwork on the metaphysics of morals.

Fantastic piece of writing, the skill and ingenuity in Kant's writing still amazes me no matter how many times I pick up this book.

It was a Tom Holt book, but I can't remember the name...it had to do with St. George and the Dragon. Funny and strange book.

"Ihop papers" by Ali Liebegott.
It was alright, a little self indulgent if anything. But it really engaged me throughout the book.
