I'm just out of hospital!

I am just on quickly to check my emails etc. Just wanted to let you know that I ended up in hospital yesterday and I have just got home. I had really severe pains in my lower stomach since my birthday on Wednesday, but just thought it would go away on its own, so never bothered too much with it. By yesterday morning it was getting unbearable, so my mum nagged at me to go to the Doctors (I'm grateful to her really :hug: for you mum), well the Dr took one look at me and sent me to A & E. By the time I got there I was in tears, apart from chilbirth I havent felt pain like it. I was sent for x-rays, blood tests and scans and they thought it was my appendix that was the problem. Well after having more blood tests and scans today they finally decided that it was a Severe Urinery Tract Infection that I have. I honestly never thought that something like that could be so painful, but I am glad that it wasnt my appendix, I presume going through an operation would be more painful! Anyway I am now happy to be home, and still sore but nowhere near as sore as I was.

Sorry to hear about your infection. There not fun at all. I just went threw one about 2 months ago. They must have given you real strong antibiotics. After you clear up, be ready if your like most women for a yeast infection. Theres a big Thread in La Femme. Good luck and I hope your feeling better soon.:ill:

wow, that sounds pretty painful Audrey!! :( I think i have one of those urinary tract infections at the moment as well!! Just guessing from a few symptoms im having!! :unsure:

Thank you so much everyone, I have been in bed most of today, just getting up for a little while at a time. I am feeling much better, still a little sore but nothing to complain about. And yes you are right Laura, I hated being in the hospital, thankfully I wasnt in my own hospital, that would have been much worse, I can see the look on my workmates faces if I had ended up in my own ward :-p
