Out on my rounds today, and nearly finished, than this wasp decide to land on my finger, I tried to shake it off, probably the worst thing you could do, and than my letters going flying on to the floor, and than I feel a sting on my finger, didn't feel any pain, but when I got back I notice my finger has got really swollen and it swelling up, I brought some acrivastine tablets, this should help to keep the swelling down.

be careful with it! lots of people get severe allergic reactions to wasp stings! Antihistamines should work

It normally bee's who died, as there sting can be fatal, and there fluid normally stick to your skin like glue  a wasp can sting but still lived, and the only trouble I have, how do you identified between a wasp and a bee, as they both look the same to me, I personally think I was stung by a queen wasp as I have been stung before, but this sting was the worst I had for a long time, oh and just for the record, I was once stung by a bee and ended up in hospital when I was a child.

Ahhh i knew one of them died when they stung somebody!!! they deserve to die as well  They make us be itchy and in pain from there sting so in return they need to be punished and that is death!!! I can tell the difference between a wasp and a bee, i cant explain it but looking at them i can!! you must be allergic to bee's if you ended up in hospital!! Poor Kenny

When my dog was stung by a wasp, the vet recommended applying vinegar ... apparently this works for humans too ... worth trying if you are unfortunate enough to get stung by one of the stripey blighters and don't have easy access to anti-histamines! (Can't remember what to use if it's a bee sting ... needs to be alkali rather than acidic)..
