Decorating

Do you enjoy decorating your house or would you prefer to get someone else to do it?

I actually love decorating. There was even a time when I wanted to start up a decorating business with my husband lol!! I'm not so good at hanging wallpaper but I do love painting a room. From choosing the colours to accessorising - I enjoy it all!

I enjoy it too, although it's hard work if you have to do it alone. I like painting the walls also! What I don't like is moving stuff around, I always seem to have too much stuff. :rolleyes:

Nope. I have to wait until the end of the month anyway because then my father will help me to get rid of some stuff (old desk etc) and bring it to the dump. But then the room will be emptier and it's going to be easier. :)
So I've allowed myself to postpone the decision. lol

I've been in the flat since November and I haven't even thought about decorating. There wasn't a rush because I was moving into a furnished place, I had everything I needed when I moved in. Its a neutral colour anyway, beige carpets and sofas, and white walls.

I find it a chore that needs to be done and will only do it as and when its needed.

Last year me and my OH did my parents hall, stairs and landing. living room and kitchen...in 3 days and it nearky killed us...we did get fed and watered alot though, so can't complain.

I actually stop work for two weeks on Wednesday and I am planning on decorating two bedrooms from top to bottom, including the floors, I'm sort of excited at the moment about it cause I'm still planning and buying, not sure how I will feel when I actually start

I enjoy decorating. I love bright colours! I would like to do my livingroom over with a bright green/brown look. Oh la la. Ron is not impressed but he doesn't see it the way I do.

I love decorating, some how moving things around makes me relax.

Well I've never really done it, not properly anyway, I've done sum painting but that was about it - I'm more the 'decide wot needs doing and pay sumone to do it type' lol, I have had absolutely no inclination to decorate here, as I hate it, it's not 'home' and my heart is not in it. My Mum is fantastic at decorating, she can turn her hand to anythin, she can paint, hang wallpaper, and she's a real gud eye for detail, very creative, must have skipped a generation with me lol

When we renovate the apartment, soon now I hope, we will get in the professionals from my brother-in-laws building and construction company. I just can't be bothered with all the mess and aggrovation with decorating.

I need to do a bit of decorating but am hating the thought of it. It's a lot of hassle and just speeds up the grey hairing process. :)

i love decorating but i'm not great at it and w get half way through a job and have to stop for months cos we just dont have time.

I'm not too kenn on stripping walls and stuff but I do enjoy pasting paper and slapping on a bit of paint :-D

I like planning the decorating but hate painting or papering, but then comes the good bit again of the accessories.

When its done though I think it was all worth it cos it is a nice fresh new look.

You see... lol.. when I say I am decorating at home. Hubby says its me just wanting to change everything.
I repaint rooms every three months, lounge and kitchen every six months.
I love getting new items to decorate and change the vibe of a room.
I also enjoy using hidden places for lights.
